CIC and PTV Group work with Viettel Solutions on solutions for smart transportation

Recently, CIC Technology and Consulting Joint Stock Company, together with representatives of PTV Group and experts the University of Transport, had a working session with representatives of Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corporation (Viettel Solutions) to share about the application of PTV solutions for smart traffic management and operation.

Attending the meeting on the application of smart solutions in smart traffic management and operation, Viettel Solutions had Mr. Cao Xuan Tuan - Director of the Government Solution Center and representative in charge of ITS.

PTV's smart traffic management solution is of special interest to Viettel Solutions

Viettel Solutions representative said that for information technology solutions in general and solutions in the field of smart transportation in particular, VTS always aims to apply solutions/software to regular and daily applications, not just in one field or at one time, therefore, PTV's solutions are versatile and flexible enough to meet the above requirements.

At the meeting, PTV experts introduced two outstanding solutions: PTV VISSIM and PTV VISWALK. These are very powerful software tools that help simulate micro-traffic (including vehicles and pedestrians) through a processing system that optimizes multi-threaded operations on multiprocessors and multi-core computers.

VISSIM has a flexible structure that provides users with the ability to model any geometric configuration or unique activity/behavior commonly enered by drivers or pedestrians in a traffic system. Currently, the Hanoi Department of Transport is using this software. In particular, the software has been applied to simulate and compare traffic flow scenarios, thereby selecting the most suitable and feasible scenario to apply to the Nga Tu So intersection in Hanoi.

PTV Flows is also a major concern for VTS. A simplified version of PTV Visum, PTV Flows is a cost-effective and easy-to-use solution for real-time traffic management on a web or mobile application platform. With machine learning capabilities, advanced algorithms, and automatic alerts, PTV Flows enables cities and road authorities to optimize traffic management without requiring large resources or complex infrastructure.

PTV Flows provides an automatically updated network map and contains FCD (floating car data) information the past to the present and forecasts for the future. This software can be run the browser or integrated via API into the existing system. This is very suitable because Viettel also has its own GPS network and database and can be integrated into the software system.

In particular, PTV Flows allows decentralization, can divide up to 10 different types of roads main roads to branch roads, and covers all types of vehicles of the entire traffic system. With the ability to use on the website or mobile application, wifi network conditions, 3G or 4G ..., users can access PTV Flows to monitor and operate the traffic system anytime, anywhere, anyone can use it easily without having to have specialized knowledge. In addition, operators can also share information about the current traffic situation, or predict the future traffic situation with many different audiences, traffic participants to other operating management units; and share on many different platforms such as Zalo, Facebook, Telegram, Whatsapp, ...

A representative of PTV Group said that PTV is willing to provide 02 months of free trial of PTV solutions, especially PTV Flows for Viettel Solutions and send technical experts to support the proposal and instructions for using these solutions, and share implementation experiences and coordination methods.
