CIC Successfully Organizes Industry Seminar: “Digital Transformation Solutions for the Mining Sector”

Context: A Digital Turning Point for Mining

As digital transformation becomes an inevitable trend across all industries, the mining sector is entering a pivotal phase—aiming for smarter, safer, and more sustainable operations. Applying modern technologies in management and operations is now essential.

This seminar, the first of its kind jointly organized by CIC and Seequent, served not only as a platform to update the latest technology trends but also as a bridge connecting mining enterprises, technical experts, and digital solution providers in Vietnam’s mining industry.

Nearly 50 mining units, including underground and open-pit operators Quang Ninh and various other provinces, participated—demonstrating the industry’s urgent need to modernize production processes, optimize data management, and comply with new environmental and geological regulations.

Engaging Live Demo & Expert Dialogue

One of the most engaging segments of the seminar was the live demonstration of Leapfrog Geo by CIC’s technical specialists. The session walked participants through creating a 3D geological model, inputting and analyzing drilling data, and optimizing exploration and mining planning through digital platforms.

Participants were not only able to observe real-time operations on the software but also actively engaged in interactive Q&A sessions, sharing real-world challenges and gaining insights directly experts. This brought a practical and highly applicable dimension to the seminar.
