Transition PLAXIS LE and PLAXIS Designer to GeoStudio and Leapfrog software

We are contacting you today to share an important update regarding your product support for PLAXIS LE and/or PLAXIS Designer (formerly known as SVSLOPE and SVDESIGNER). In June 2023, Seequent announced the end of general availability of PLAXIS LE and PLAXIS Designer, with sales of new licenses, annual SELECT support and maintenance contracts, and annual subscription contracts ending on June 1, 2024, and end of access for E365 users on June 1, 2025. Existing users were encouraged to plan their transition to our GeoStudio and Leapfrog software, which offered similar functionality.

Based on user feedback and the alignment of planned updates to GeoStudio, the final date for sales of new licenses, annual SELECT support and maintenance contracts, and annual subscription contracts have been extended to June 1, 2025, with E365 users being able to access the products until June 1, 2026. Acs wishing to continue using PLAXIS LE and PLAXIS Designer for an extended period can now do so for an additional year. The new support date will provide greater flexibility for us to help you complete this product transition. Below is an updated product support timeline.

Until June 1, 2025, new licenses, annual SELECT support and maintenance contracts, and PLAXIS LE and PLAXIS Designer subscription contracts can continue to be purchased as is. This means users will have 24 months of continuing product general availability and support the initial announcement date to plan their transition.

Effective June 1, 2025, PLAXIS LE and PLAXIS Designer will enter the Expiring Support phase. New license sales, SELECT renewals, and annual subscription purchases will no longer be available. However, existing contracts will run through to the expiration date, with Support offered during the run-off period.

Effective June 1, 2026, PLAXIS LE and PLAXIS Designer will enter the final Discontinued Support phase. Access will no longer be available through E365 acs or Bentley Education. Additionally, support will be reduced to self-serve support until support ends in June 2027.
